What it does<\/h2>\n

The editor includes a built-in file manager<\/strong>. The file manager is the component that you will use to browse, search, and select\u00a0the\u00a0images and\u00a0documents that you wish to use in your email message.<\/p>\n

With the handy file manager you can:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Browse, search, and sort existing files<\/li>\n
  • Import new files<\/li>\n
  • Create folders<\/li>\n
  • Preview and\u00a0insert images into your message<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

     <\/p>\n

    How it looks: list & grid view<\/h2>\n

    The file manager will open over the editor, covering the entire working area. This allows you to browse your files without worrying about your screen size or resolution.<\/p>\n

    You will find a top section with actions and navigation helpers, with\u00a0most of the space used\u00a0to list your files and\u00a0the information you need to work with them. In March of 2018 we published an update that introduce the ability to switch between List and Grid View. Here is a visual example.<\/p>\n

    How you access it<\/h2>\n

    The file manager will load\u00a0in several scenarios.<\/p>\n

    a.<\/strong>\u00a0When you click on the\u00a0Browse<\/em>\u00a0button\u00a0in\u00a0an image placeholder, which is\u00a0displayed\u00a0when\u00a0you drag and drop an image content block into a message.<\/p>\n

    How to upload files<\/h2>\n

    The quickest\u00a0way to upload a file into the file manager is to drag it from your computer to the file manager window, dropping it into\u00a0the upload area. And it supports multi-file upload too. Cool, uh?<\/p>\n

    There are other ways to do so. When you use the editor full screen, and can't drag from your desktop, the\u00a0Add new file<\/em>\u00a0button will do the trick.<\/p>\n

    Upload limits:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • The maximum allowed\u00a0file size is 12MB.<\/li>\n
    • Allowed file types are images, pdf, MS excel, MS word, other common text documents.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      How to import files from other applications<\/h2>\n

      The\u00a0Import from<\/em>\u00a0feature allows you to connect external applications like DropBox, Google Drive, Instagram and more, and import your files.<\/p>\n

      How to browse or search files<\/h2>\n

      To locate your desired image or document, browse your folders and order their content by\u00a0name<\/em>,\u00a0date<\/em>,\u00a0size<\/em>\u00a0or\u00a0type<\/em>\u00a0by clicking on the sort\u00a0labels on top of the list.<\/p>\n

      An arrow icon next to this labels means that this is the current filter, and its orientation will tell you the order, ascending or descending.<\/p>\n

      Too many files in the selected folder? Click on the\u00a0lens<\/em>\u00a0icon to run a search. Results will be filtered on the fly.\u00a0Mind that this search is performed only in the\u00a0current folder<\/span>, and not in your entire repository.<\/p>\n

       <\/p>\n

      How to use files<\/h2>\n

      When you move\u00a0your cursor over a file or folder, that row will be highlighted and the available action icons will be shown on the right side:<\/p>\n

        \n
      • insert and preview for files<\/li>\n
      • delete for both files and folders<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        If an action is momentary not available, you will be notified\u00a0by the tooltip text of the icon, such as when you try to delete a folder that contains files, because only empty folders can be deleted.<\/p>\n

        If you want to delete\u00a0multiple files or folders, use the check-boxes to select them, the delete button will be shown at the top, on the right side. Only elements that can be deleted will have a selectable check-box.<\/p>\n

        How to organize\u00a0folders<\/h2>\n

        You can create the folder structure you prefer to organize your files. To add new folders, use the\u00a0Add folder<\/em>\u00a0icon.<\/p>\n

        For your folder names you can use letters (upper and lower case), numbers, spaces, periods (.), hyphens (-), or underscores (_).<\/p>\n

        To navigate to the parent folder use the top breadcrumb. Clicking the home icon will take you to your\u00a0root folder.<\/p>\n
